A favorite quote from John Maxwell reads “Successful people are those that are in their sweet spot, while successful leaders help others to find their sweet spots.”. A couple of years ago, New York DeMolay started a Leadership Lending Library. New York DeMolay Executive Officer Peter Brusoe wanted to get the works of John Maxwell, Stephen Covey (and a whole list of Authors who have been associated with Covey- including my connections Jim Huling, Chris McChesney, and Scott Jeffrey Miller), Micheal Hyatt, and others into the hands of young people. I was honored that he asked me to take the lead on creating this valuable resource. Through donations, Bargain Outlet Closeouts, and copies I acquired from being on “Book Launch Teams” we have been able to get hundreds of books into the hands of young men and ladies.
As the library grew, we wanted to utilize it to honor one of NY DeMolay’s most beloved and respected figures. It was decided that we would name it after Edwin M Ardenski, a man who inspired dozens of young men to become leaders. In the name of this great leader (and mentor of mine), we are helping hundreds of people find their “sweet spot”.
