Edward Draves
Edward J Draves was born and raised in Buffalo, NY. A fun loving and dedicated husband, and father of an adult son and teenage daughter, he is active in his local Church and several organizations within the Masonic fraternity. He is an Adviser for 3 youth groups, a Karate Instructor and serve on several committees in the community, most notably on Character Education, Anti- Bully and Shared Decision Making at the Elementary school level.
With over 20 years of retail management and leadership experience, his tenure has afforded him the opportunity to visit hundreds of wineries around the globe and sample thousands of wines while meeting and learning from countless interesting and wonderful people. He developed and teaches a series of wine appreciation and responsible enjoyment classes titled “Wine Made Easy”. You can find him as an in-demand speaker and presenter at annual wine industry events.
Ed frequently volunteers in the community, donating time and utilizing his wine knowledge to conduct tastings for charitable events. He is especially proud to co-chair a large, all New York wine event, “Wines at the Shrine”. This annual event, 10 years strong, benefits the Shrine Travel Fund used to transport children and their families to Shriner’s Hospitals for treatment.
